 · I bought and installed the freedomsmith trigger, and my initial impression is *the trigger fixes the last bit of grit in the trigger pull. The factory trigger was too tightly fit in the frame and you could feel it rubbing during the trigger press. *the freedomsmith trigger did reduce the takeup nicely.Jan 2, 2020. #3. My pistol cocked indicator was normal and a trigger pull released the firing pin but firing pin wouldn’t make contact with the primer. The tab wasn’t getting activated to allow the firing pin to make contact with primer.These are our widest triggers @.421 wide front face. The differences are the two additional angles on the "Fat Daddy II" profile compared to the full flat face of the "Fat Daddy". The "Fat Daddy Classic" has the same attributes of the "Fat Daddy" but with a curved face. Many prefer the traditional feel of the curved trigger.The stock trigger is nice but with the freedomsmith takeup is minimal and the break is so crisp. Install is a pain in the ass like the other commenter mentioned so I just had a gunsmith do it for 30 bucks. Definitely recommend the champion but no direct experience with fat daddy. Feb 14, 2023 · Location:Crestview, Florida. Posted February 22 (edited) My FS Zombie Pro showed up and I finished the installation. The FS ZP takeup is 2.64mm and the reset is 2.30mm. This will work! The Freedomsmith trigger is rock solid and exhibits no play in the frame and although the RIA has nearly as good of a reset, the Freedomsmith trigger is better in this regard as well. Feb 1, 2023 · Trigger on the Rival-S is a bit heavier than what the original Rival is by at least .75 lbs. 3 lbs is what it is breaking at with the same internals that I use with the polymer Rival. A trigger described as fitting an "Elite" model will fit ALL of the "Elite" models as well as the Mete and Rival models. It is good out of the box but with the FS trigger, the weight mod and a little other tuning here and there, it has some real teeth.
